Superior 20 HP


Superior 20 HP Oil Field Engine

11 1/2 inch bore with a 16 inch stroke

As you can see it is a large horizontal shaft open air crank engine.  We got it from a junk dealer who was about to scrap it out

At left is the Jug with piston stuck in it. Rod is sticking out to the right, pic2 is the open air crank shaft, pic 3 is the piston and the final picture is one of the governor.

Reed Gas Engine

This is the Reed Engine as I was bringing through the gate at home

These are a little closer shots of the Reed Engine

The Reed was used as the main engine power for the

 operation of several oil wells. It was centrally located

and ran "drag lines" to the wells to provide operating power.
